Call them pop’s longest-running, most persistent group. Call them men, not boys. Just don’t call it a comeback. “We almost named the album that,” jokes Nick Carter, one-fourth of the Backstreet Boys, whose seventh studio effort, This Is Us, is slated for release on October 6th. “We’re the Brett Favres of the music industry.” Clearly, he and his bandmates are fed up with the public perception that they’ve taken an extended time out. They’re not ‘NSync, after all. “It does frustrate me,” says Brian Littrell. “Everybody asks, ‘Where have you been? What have you been doing?’ When we’re, like, ‘We’ve been touring the world, and working our butts off!’ ”

There are no million-plus first week sellers in today’s music business, and so many outlets vying for your attention that it’s easy to miss a respectable showing like Backstreet’s 2007 album, Unbreakable. Vampires and daywalkers are the topic of the Backstreet Boys new single, “Straight Through My Heart.”

Directed by Kai Regan and filmed on 7 August 2009 near downtown Los Angeles. The video begins with a written introduction:

A group who band together to protect innocent mortals or Kine against the Gentry. Vampires who hunt for prey at bars and nightclubs. Sometimes these hunters become the hunted.

We follow a woman into a nightclub where the Backstreet Boys are performing. The dancing isn’t spectacular; this is more of a theme video.

The video premiered at 10 a.m. on the US Magazine Web site and is the first single from their “This Is Us” album which comes out in October. [Source]

Backstreet Boys are vampires in the music video for new single ‘Straight Through My Heart’ off their October release ‘This Is Us’.

A music video in companion to Backstreet Boys‘ new single “Straight Through My Heart” has made its round. This newly-unveiled video brings vampire theme, which is currently becoming trend in big and small screens in several countries in the world.

It starts with a narration read, “A group who band together to protect innocent mortals or Kine against the Gentry. Vampires who hunt for prey at bars and nightclubs. Sometimes these hunters become the hunted.” It then continues with the boyband making a live performance at a club. At the end of the video, it is revealed that all of the Boys are actually vampires who are on a mission of hunting their own kind.

“Straight Through My Heart” is the lead single from Backstreet Boys’ new album “This Is Us” which will arrive in U.S. on October 6. Along with the cover art, a tracklisting for Backstreet Boys’ new album ‘This Is Us’ arrives, unraveling that the effort’s materials will range from a ‘reflective soar’ track to ‘love yearning’ tune.

Artwork which will be featured on the front cover of Backstreet Boys‘ new album “This Is Us” has been uncovered. In addition to the picture, a tracklisting for the upcoming record has also been outed, revealing the titles of eleven new songs in the set.

Led by single “Straight Through My Heart”, the album has a song called “Bigger” which is described as “reflective soar” and reportedly is produced by acclaimed music maker Max Martin. Another track included in the album is “love yearning” entitled “She’s a Dream”.

“We’re really excited to release this new album and know that our fans are excited too.
